I'd seen "We Will Rock You" on Anthem of the Seas and was impressed by the quality of the performance (the script, less so – but that's not Royal's fault). Solo parent travel with an 8-year-old gave me many reasons to drink but few opportunities to actually spend time in Wonder of the Seas' many bars. Book early for a reservation or come off-hours for a seat at the bar.
Taking the place of what would have been a second cantilevered hot tub, The Vue offers picturesque views of the ocean during both day and night. The bar is partially covered by a mosaic canopy, which lights up at night in a kaleidoscope of color. As an Oasis Class ship, there is no shortage of dining options found on Wonder of the Seas. Both complimentary and specialty dining options are available and come in a wide range of cuisines and styles, meaning there is something for everyone to eat onboard.
It definitely felt more like a luxury hotel than a standard Royal Caribbean cruise cabin, but to be honest, I found the decor a bit bland. Our suite was technically an accessible room, which I hadn't realized when booking. The left side of the bed is too close to the bathroom wall to fit a wheelchair or walker, so travelers using mobility devices are limited to the right side.
